How should well informed parents/spectators conduct themselves at school/ district/ county game?


Rules

D.C.S.F.A. RULE 15

Every school/association is responsible to the council for the actions of its players, officials and spectators.  Schools/associations are further to take all precautions necessary to prevent spectators threatening or assaulting officials and players during or at the conclusion of matches.

F.A. RULE 21 (a) Rule relating to players of school age.

Priority must at all times be given to school or school organisations’ activities
All clubs and leagues, excluding those that play their matches on Sundays, shall include in their rules a rule which outlines the need to clear the availability of a boy with his Head teacher.

      2.  Parents/spectators should appreciate good football by applauding both teams and            always maintain the very high reputation that schools football has earned for its appreciation    of good play by both teams. 

    3. Although parents, spectators are not playing they should remember to act in a sporting manner as their son/daughters’ school reputation will be judged by their behaviour.
            All parents/spectators should view the game from the touchlines and not from behind the goal.  Goalkeepers should not feel intimidated in any way.

    4. Parents/spectators should always remember that the referee/teacher is giving up his/her free time to ensure that pupils in our association are able to participate in competitive football.
 
DECISIONS MUST NEVER BE QUESTIOED BY PARENTS/SPECTATORS.
   5. Parents/spectators must not appeal to the referee for throw ins, corners, offside’s etc.

          Booing is strictly forbidden at anyone.

  6. Parents/spectators from opposing sides must never argue with each other.  The main aim is to enjoy the game.

 7. Parents/spectators must not “coach” from the sidelines. The players will be given certain instructions by their teachers and if parents/spectators are telling players something different then the players will only get confused and their overall performance will suffer.

LET THE PLAYERS PLAY AND MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS!

 8. Parents/spectators should support their children, but also encourage others playing and their opponents.

 9. WIN LOSE OR DRAW parents/spectators should appreciate the efforts of everyone involved.

10. Parents/spectators should always remember that the result of the match is not a matter of life and death and at the end of the game they should greet their son/daughter with a smile

1. Rules

2. All players must be correctly dressed before entering the field of play.
i.e. shirt tucked inside of shorts, shin pads worn and covered by football socks, NO jewellery to be worn, no boxer shorts hanging down below shorts and clean boots.

3. All players should learn and observe the Laws of the Game.

4. Players should beat opponents by skill and by unfair play.

5. Players must retire quickly to 10 yards when a free kick is given

6. Players must not appeal for throw ins, off-sides, free kicks etc.

7. Players should give the ball promptly to opponents for throw-ins, free kicks etc.

8. Players must never argue with the referee and assistant referee’s. They should keep their self-control at all times and never retaliate.

9. Accept victory modestly and defeat graciously.  Players should not overreact when they score a goal.

10. Players should always thank their opponents at the end of the game by shaking hands or offering three cheers.
